Position Type: Attendance, Communications & Administrative Officer
Employment Type: Permanent Contract
Hours: 37 hrs per week (Term Time only)
Salary: Essex School's Pay Scale, Scale 2 Spine 3 - actual starting salary £15,934 (including fringe)
Working Pattern: 08:45-16:15 Monday to Friday (30 minutes for lunch)
The Governing Body are seeking to appoint an experienced Administrator (at least 5 years experience) to join our friendly, busy office. The successful candidate will:
- Have solid office administrative experience (school office experience preferable).
- Have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and databases (SIMS experience preferable).
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills and a welcoming, positive outlook.
- Have achieved at least a grade C/4 in GCSE Maths and English.
- Be efficient, versatile and able to work on their own initiative.
- Have an excellent telephone manner with the ability to record and pass on accurate messages.
- Be able to prioritise their own workload & plan effectively.
- Be able to remain calm under pressure and have a positive and sunny disposition.
Duties will include:
- Acting as the Attendance Officer for the school and undertaking all attendance-related duties including monitoring morning and afternoon attendance, contacting parents, producing letters and reports and processing holiday requests.
- Be responsible for the monitoring of the "admin" e-mail account: responding accordingly, dealing with issues/complaints or passing on messages as appropriate.
- Dealing with parental enquiries including School Money queries (training will be given).
- Assisting the Office Manager and P.A. to Headteacher with any admin tasks as necessary.
