Full time, permanent post

Leadership Scale 9-13 Accordance with School Teachers' Pay & Conditions Document.

Required 18th April 2021 or sooner if available

Grove House is a special school for pupils aged 8-19 with speech, language and communication needs. The Headteacher is looking to appoint a passionate and experienced leader to assist in providing professional and strategic leadership and management for the whole School. The postholder would have particular responsibility for leading & development of curriculum and assessment across the school. The successful applicant will display the following attributes: -

As Assistant Headteacher your main duties will include:

Assisting the Headteacher (HT) in providing professional and strategic leadership, management and development of curriculum & assessment across all phases of the School;
To undertake a teaching commitment across the school as required;
Promoting the vision and values of the School;
To ensure students' safeguarding, child protection and welfare;
To provide professional and inspiration leadership for the School, ensuring that it is managed and organised to meet its statutory requirements, aims and targets;
Ensure that learners participate in a high quality education, receive the best possible care and achieve high standards in all areas of learning;
Support the development of the School Improvement Plan (SIP);
To have responsibility for named areas of the School Improvement Plan - possibly varying from year to year, dependent upon the School's needs;
Plan and manage change in accordance with the SIP.
