Teaching Assistant

Pay Scale: Thurrock Local Government Scale, Band A point 3 - 5 (approx. £12,300 actual)

25 hrs per week - 45.8 wks per year (1 extra paid week after 5 years of service)

Required - January 2022

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in partnership with a class teacher to support pupils' learning.

Previous experience of working with children with special educational needs whilst not essential, is preferable.

Treetops School is a special academy catering for pupils with a wide range of needs including moderate learning difficulties, speech and communication difficulties, autism and general developmental delay. We have been judged outstanding by Ofsted in our last four inspections, the most recent being February 2020.

The school is also the lead for the Thurrock Teaching School Alliance (TTSA).

Have excellent interpersonal skills
Are versatile and able to support our teachers in delivering a high standard of learning to pupils of all abilities.

All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check, a medical check, satisfactory references and the successful completion of a 6 month probationary period.
