Learning Support Assistant
We are looking to appoint a committed, caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work in a KS1 class supporting the needs of a delightful pupil with medical needs.
The role will involve developing a trusting relationship with the pupil and their parents, working alongside them to support them in accessing the curriculum in class and supporting them at lunchtime. The role will also include assisting the pupil with their personal care.
The hours of work will be from 8.45am to 3.15pm daily with 30 minutes for lunch. The role is being offered on a fixed term basis until July 2027, to support this specific pupil.
The successful candidate will have good standards of literacy and numeracy and be calm, confident and well organised. They will have a positive outlook and be proactive in supporting and moving forward the child's learning and development. They will need to be a good communicator with a range of adults and children and also have a fun sense of humour!
The role will involve undertaking catheter training and ongoing training specific to the child's needs. You will also need to attend and contribute to meetings, from time to time.
