This is a genuinely unique and exciting opportunity to take on an exciting role at the new Lakelands Primary School in Stanway, Colchester.

Lakelands Primary School opened its doors to 60 Reception children in September 2020 and will grow one year group at a time, year on year until the school is full in 2026. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Early Years and Year 1 Leader with a responsibility for Phonics. This role will be pivotal in the development of the school as it grows and develops and it is also is a unique opportunity to gain new skills and expertise as part of the school's growing Leadership Team.

The school has an instructional coaching model for developing teacher practice, and the new leader will have the responsibility to support the Headteacher in delivering coaching and mentoring, modelling excellent practice and support with the school's ongoing recruitment opportunities. The new leader will also help map out the school's Professional Development Programme and take a lead on delivering some of the Teaching and Learning CPD sessions.

The school is an integral part of the growing Lakelands community in Stanway and the successful candidate will work with the school's Headteacher to build an outstanding provision for the children and families who attend the school.

This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers.
