Vacancy for Catering Manager
25-27.5 hours per week, term time only.
Scale 6- £ 22,183- £24,491 depending on experience
Actual Salary between £14,868-£15,535
We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and creative catering manager to work in our busy school kitchen, providing a total of around 300 meals daily, to pupils and staff onsite and including transported meals for two other local schools.
Strong organisation, leadership and management skills are a must to manage and develop a team of staff and the catering provision for the school.
You should be able to prepare, serve and present fresh home cooked foods from scratch using local ingredients where possible and within budget.
Previous experience of working in a similar environment would be advantageous with knowledge of stock control, budgets and menu planning although as part of our commitment to staff development training will be available.
We believe that school food is part of our whole school ethos and the post holder can expect to work as part of a committed school team.
