We are looking to appoint a caring, professional and positive person to join our team to support our fantastic children with their pastoral, learning and developmental needs. The post will be from 1st January 2022, or later for the right candidate, and will consist of 32.5 hours per week.

Our Home/School Liaison Assistant will support our pupils, their families and teachers throughout the school. This post also includes lunchtime supervision and the care of all our pupils.

Main Purpose of this role is:

· To support, assist and enable children to meet their academic and social targets.

· To improve standards of achievement by the early removal of barriers to learning and, in particular, to narrow the gap between the most advantaged and disadvantaged children/young people and families within our school.

· To be responsible for family liaison support including developing relationships with families that have problems accessing services, families needing additional support and for community links.

·To promote school attendance through managing persistent absence.

You will need:

To be committed to the safeguarding of all children
To have recent experience of working with children
To have a high standard of English and Mathematics (GCSE Grade C or above - or equivalent)
To be friendly, adaptable and approachable with a sense of humour
To be prepared to work with pupils from age 3 - 11
Work as part of a team under the direction of the SENCO and Senior Leadership Team
