Kitchen Assistant - Term time only
Hours of work - 7.5 hours per week. 10:30 am to 12:00 pm Monday to Friday
Salary - Band 1 point 1= Actual Salary £2,989.57 (Full time equivalent £17,842.00)
At Waterman Primary School, we are seeking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team.
The successful applicant will (undertake the):
- Preparation and simple cooking of food and beverages
- Serving from the counter/hatch or from a trolley or kiosk as required
- Cleaning equipment (light and heavy), walls (up to 6 ft), floors, fixtures and fittings, cooking utensils, cutlery, glassware etc
- Cleaning of tables and counters during serving times
- To maintain high standards of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene which needs to comply with statutory and school regulations and standards
- Occasionally, assist with special functions at the school which may be outside or normal working hours

Information about the School
Waterman Primary School is a small, friendly school in the heart of Rochford, serving the local community. At Waterman we are committed to supporting each and every family and child who attends our school. We support children's SEMH needs, strive for academic excellence and ensure our children have the best opportunities while with us.
At Waterman, we provide free weekly swimming lessons to all of our children, in a newly refurbished, in-door heated on-site pool. We also provide Forest Schools lessons, which our children thoroughly enjoy. While Year 6 outcomes have improved year on year for the past 4 years. Waterman is smaller than many other local schools and is made up of four classes - Nursery & Reception, Year 1&2, Year 3&4 and Year 5&6.
