Position Start Date: 1st January 2022

Contract Type: 37 hours / 38 weeks per year

As the new Orsett Heath Academy continues to grow, we are looking to recruit a talented individual to help us establish and shape the pastoral support department ahead of our move into our new £27m building during the 2022/23 academic year. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with young people and for assisting them overcome their personal or behavioural issues which are often a barrier to pupils achieving their full potential. It is likely that the successful applicant will already have experience of working in a school or college setting. This is an exciting opportunity for the post-holder to work closely with senior staff to help shape our pupil support provision as it grows. In time, it is envisaged that the pastoral team and the behaviour team will become two distinct but overlapping teams. However, in the early years of the school's development, these areas will be merged and the successful applicant will have a key role in planning for this growth.

Applicants will be determined to achieve the highest standards of care and support for the students and will be keen to play a key role in the growth of a new and growing school. There will be a number of career development opportunities as the school grows. If you have energy and passion for your subject and would like to join a unique school with a dynamic and collaborative team, then we look forward to hearing from you.

Why Orsett Heath Academy?

We have assembled a highly motivated and able staff team and are looking for people who share our values to help us grow.
