Job Description

Required for September 2011

The college is seeking a well-qualified, energetic and enthusiastic science specialist to join a strong and thriving department. The ability to offer physics at GCSE would be a distinct advantage. The successful candidate will be able to employ a range of teaching strategies to promote active learning and raise standards and will be committed to school improvement and curriculum development.

St Benedict’s is a highly respected and over-subscribed Catholic business and enterprise college with modern foreign languages as a second specialism. The college prides itself on its consistently excellent examination results and its complete commitment to the social, moral and spiritual development of all its students.

The governing body is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all young people and expects all staff to share that commitment. The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced CRB check. Applications will only be accepted on the college application form.
