We have an exciting opportunity to join our team working across Southminster C of E Primary School in the position of Wellbeing Mentor.
15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year plus1 week (inset days).
Starting salary:Scale 4 Point 6 £19,699 gross per annum full time equivalent, (pro-rata £6,815.89)
Your role will be
· To work with the school SENDco and Wellbeing Champion with individual pupils on planned programmes to support the wellbeing of our children.
· To contribute and shape the school's wellbeing programme.
· To raise the profile of wellbeing throughout the school with all stakeholders.
· To support children during lunchtimes, providing a welcome ear and general supervision.
· To assist in supporting pupils' readiness for learning, where required.
· To observe, advise and report on pupils, as required.
· To promote pupil voice and support our student leadership initiatives.
· To keep individual pupil records, as required.
· To participate in Staff Training Days and external courses as may be required by the needs of the post and as identified by school leadership team.

Information about the School
Southminster C of E Primary School is located about 3 miles from Burnham on Crouch and 10 miles southeast from Maldon. St Leonard's Church is located in the centre of the town and lies close to Southminster C of E Primary School. The school enjoys a close relationship with the church. At Southminster School we all work together to recognise individual needs and support every child. We firmly believe that collective worship is an integral part of our community and through it, our children develop spiritually, morally and socially. Our class teachers are supported by an experienced team of Teaching Assistants who also take on additional responsibilities within the school together with an efficient and dedicated team of administrative staff.
