Salary: Scale 5 Pt 8-11 Pro rata for 32.25 hrs term time + insets (37.7 working weeks)

FTE £21391-£22646, pro rata £14899.67 - £15773.83.

Our new Executive Headteacher is looking for a HLTA or instructor to work across Key Stage 1 and 2 in our rapidly improving school.

Waltham Holy Cross Primary Academy are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our school. The ideal candidate will be an effective role model that sets high expectations and motivates the pupils to achieve. The HLTA will provide support for pupils, the teacher and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all pupils by utilising advanced levels of knowledge and skills when assisting with planning, monitoring, assessing and teaching classes. Applicants must be enthusiastic and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The HLTA would be required to work alongside, and individually from class teachers.

Essential requirements:

  • At least a C in English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of Level 3 qualification (currently working towards Level 4 desirable)
  • Ability to use ICT and learn new skills
  • Working in partnership with specialist teacher to support pupils needs
