We are looking to recruit an experienced Learning Support Assistant who can support children with
additional needs across the primary age range to join our friendly and hard-working team. SEND
experience would be an advantage.
The successful applicant will have the skills and flexibility to work across the school supporting individual
children.
We are looking for an LSA to work at Friar's Grove who is…
Positive, warm and friendly, with both children and their colleagues. They enjoy working collaboratively to support teaching and
learning and meet the individual needs of all children, ensuring all reach their full potential. They understand that children's
outward behaviour is due to an underlying need and strive to meet these needs, underpinning behaviour approaches on positive
relationships and mutual respect. They are willing to reflect on their own practice, develop their approaches and strive to follow
school approaches.
We work at Friar's Grove because…
We enjoy working in a friendly, committed team where work/life balance and wellbeing is a priority. Being an inclusive school
means that every day is different and we enjoy celebrating academic success, positive behaviour and those breakthrough
moments for individuals. Everyone is valued and supported in their role and we welcome new ideas and approaches. We benefit
from a supportive school community and it is a pleasure to see children arrive in school every day with smiles on their faces. And if
that wasn't enough, we have a school dog, happy to receive daily strokes!
Friar's Grove Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in our care and expects all staff
and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to pre-employment checks including an enhanced DBS
check & two references.
Candidates considering making an application are strongly encouraged to visit and tour the school. Tours will take place in person,
following all necessary Covid19 guidance. Please telephone to arrange an appointment.
Interviews will take place in person and candidates will be asked to plan and deliver a group activity and complete a written task.
