SCHOOL OFFICE/BUSINESS MANAGER & PA TO THE HEADTEACHER
LGS Scale 7 Pt 19-24 or LGS Scale 8 Pt 25-28 (depending on the experience/qualifications of the successful candidate)
The post will be full time, 35 hours per week (Mon - Fri, 8.30am to 4.30pm) during term time, and some working during school holidays will be required (5 INSET days and 5 days during school holiday period)
45.6 weeks in a year

Mrs Johnson, our excellent School Business Manager, is sadly leaving our school, so we are seeking an outstanding individual to join our team. We are seeking to recruit a highly-motivated, experienced, efficient and enthusiastic School Office/Business Manager & PA to the Headteacher. As a pivotal part of the day-to-day running of our school, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the office team as well as having excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a positive attitude and plenty of enthusiasm. The School Office/Business Manager will need to be able to work under pressure and use their own initiative. Computer literacy and a good, calm telephone manner are essential. An understanding of Finance systems would be useful, but not mandatory.
The role will include specific responsibility for:
Organising and supervising administrative systems within school
Managing the reception/office team/site management team
Be the first point of call for parents and visitors
HR and personnel functions, including recruitment, issuing contracts
Responsibility for premises management
Maintenance of computerised pupil data records
Acting as Personal Assistant to the Headteacher
