Catering Assistant - Part Time (10 hours per week), Permanent, Term time only
Starting Salary - Scale 2, Point 2 £18,198 (pro rata) (Actual salary £4,065.63, plus mileage expenses)
Monday Friday - 11:30am - 1:30pm (to include transporting food from Rickling Primary School to Farnham Primary School each day and charging 45p per mile, per day, per trip accordingly).
Farnham CE Primary School are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join our busy and friendly team. Previous experience of catering is desirable although training would be available for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be required to:
• Collect the food from Rickling School and deliver to Farnham School each day (mileage paid)
• Assist with the preparation and serving of school meals
• Undertake all aspects of cleaning equipment, floors, fixtures and fittings, cooking utensils, cutlery, glassware etc. as directed.
• Maintain a high standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory school regulations.
• Applicants will be required to complete a level 2 award in food safety in catering.
This position is required from September 2021.
Previous experience of catering is desirable, although training would be available for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be required to take and pass a Hygiene and Food Handling course unless they already have a current up to date qualification.
