Senior Science Technician

£20493-£21748 (Pro Rata)
37 hours per week
40 weeks per year (Term Time plus Inset Days and one week school holiday working)
The Beaulieu Park School are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Science Technician to join our school in September. Experience in the methodology of standard practicals is essential, along with awareness of the Health and Safety requirements of the role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing equipment for lessons within all three disciplines of science and be confident in the handling of chemicals. You will also be responsible for the Health and Safety aspects and resourcing within the department. A specialism in one of the three sciences will be desirable but not essential.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with a forward-thinking approach, have excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and be receptive to change.

Information about the School
The Beaulieu Park School is Essex’s first ‘All Through’ school and the primary phase opens for reception students in September 2018 with the secondary phase opening in September 2019. The Beaulieu Park School will welcome its first cohort of 60 reception aged children in two classes. In September 2019, 180 Year 7 students will be admitted. Year on year the school will grow, providing 420 places for local children between four and eleven years old by 2024 and 900 places for local children between 11 and 16 years old by 2023.
