The Boswells School is looking to appoint a talented, forward thinking and innovative Deputy Head of Science.
This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring Science teacher and aspiring leader to work with our Head of Science in a vibrant Faculty of specialist Science teachers. You will be leading on raising achievement at key stage 4, building on a track record of success over a number of years. There will be an opportunity to teach at all levels including at A-level in a school that delivers A-level Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You will be joining a school with enthusiastic and dedicated leaders at all levels and a real commitment to the professional development of staff.
The Boswells School is an 11-18, very successful, popular and oversubscribed school of 1500 students in the Springfield area of Chelmsford, Essex. The school has a long standing reputation for achieving high levels of academic excellence. Our results at GCSE and A Level make us one of the highest performing non-selective secondary schools in Essex. We offer Triple and Combined Science at GCSE and Biology, Chemistry and Physics at A-level.
The school was judged to be 'Good' in all areas by OFSTED in February 2017 and this role is crucial to the continued progress of the school towards outstanding.

Information about the School
The Boswells School is a large 11-18 secondary school that serves the area of north Chelmsford. The school is an extremely popular, over-subscribed convertor academy that enjoys an excellent reputation in the local and wider community. We were graded ‘Good’ in every area by OFSTED in February 2017 and are working towards our goal of becoming a truly great school.
