Teacher of DT (Two of the following - Art; Resistant Material or Food Technology) - MPR

The Ongar Academy is a wonderful and harmonious school, leading the way in the education of the whole person with a strong philosophically-based ethos with brand new buildings and cutting edge facilities.
We are looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner with a commitment to continuing professional development to join our Design & Technology department. You would be required to teach to GCSE, although this could be extended to A-Level for a suitable candidate. We are keen to appoint a teacher of Design & Technology who will bring innovative ideas, and a real desire to engage students in their learning and aspire to excellence.
ADT are highly valued subjects in the curriculum. The ADT facilities are outstanding as The Ongar Academy is a new build. The successful candidate will be joining a very supportive team.
The ADT Faculty consists of 5 members of staff; who are dedicated to realising the potential of all students and have been highly successful in doing so. In 2021 we are expecting students to be making strong progress way above national averages
The post is suitable for either an NQT or a more experienced teacher. NQTS teach a reduced timetable and participate in a thorough induction programme which is led by an Assistant Headteacher.
