Head of Geography

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Head of Geography, committed to the development of learning with a clear vision for their subject and able to lead a successful team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with creativity and ambition to go "beyond outstanding", to develop an exceptional department.
The successful candidate will have the vision and skills to ensure that the students receive a coordinated and exciting experience of Geography across the Key Stages and will be able to deliver high quality teaching and learning within a creative and active curriculum.
This is a unique opportunity to provide strategic direction for Geography across the academy and give you an opportunity to significantly build your leadership skills.
The successful applicant will have:
- An opportunity to take a key role in the development of a rapidly improving school
- A passion for teaching Geography;
- Experience or ambition of holding a responsibility within the department;
- An outstanding practitioner of Geography with a proven track record of examination outcomes;
- The ability to create and facilitate highly creative, challenging and engaging lessons;
- The highest aspirations and expectations for all students, yourself and our school.
The Academy is part of The Kemnal Academies Trust group which provides opportunities to work closely with other academies within the Trust through school-to-school support and provide continuous professional development.
