Autism Trainer (internal and external)
Location: Based Colchester Head Office (possible home working)
Salary: £22,000 per annum FTE, actual salary £8,800 per annum
Hours: part-time 14 hours per week

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established regional charity. Autism Anglia provides ongoing training and supervision, continuing professional development and support as well as an extensive induction on commencement of employment.
As one of the lead autism trainers for Autism Anglia, you will be integral to the effective analysis, design, evolvement, and delivery of relevant autism training both internally and externally as directed by the External Training Manager. The role will involve working closely with key stakeholders to ensure the training is delivered to an exceptionally high standard.
Your main duties will include:
- Act as one of the lead trainers of autism specific courses for internal and external training throughout East Anglia
- Support with the training needs analysis both internally and externally, identifying skills gaps, designing and delivering on specific training and development
- Develop internal and external training in order to generate income for the Charity that can be reinvested.
Experience:
- Confidence and proven experience in delivering presentations to groups of varying sizes - Essential
- An excellent and broad understanding of Autism Spectrum Conditions - Essential
- Excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills - Essential
- Experience and Knowledge of PowerPoint and ability to use virtual meeting platforms (Zoom and Teams) - Desirable
- Proven experience of delivering training to a broad range of audiences - Desirable
It is essential that the successful applicant holds a full driving license.

Doucecroft School is a specialist co-educational school for children and young people with autism and additional complex needs, age 3 –19 years. Established in 1977, we are experienced and successful in meeting the needs of students with wide-ranging strengths and needs, providing a nurturing environment where students are able to thrive and grow in independence and self-esteem.
Students can benefit from our flexible boarding provision or can attend school as day students and come from across the Anglia region and the London boroughs.
Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy are provided on-site by our experienced therapy team.
