St Osyth Priory is owned by the Sargeant family, whose firm City and Country, specialise in the restoration and redevelopment of historic buildings. The St Osyth Priory and Parish Trust was established in 2016. There is local representation on the Trust.
Its aims and objectives are to apply for grants and raise money so that the listed buildings can be restored and open for a range of activities and public engagements.
In 2019, the Trust began actively engaging with local schools. Their aspiration and vision now is to move ahead and open the Priory and its Parkland as a place where young people of all ages will be inspired to learn, engage,participate and interact. It will become a permanent educational resource for all learners in the Tendring district and beyond.
The Covid 19 pandemic has delayed the planning that was put in place for 2020. The Trust is now moving ahead and the modular buiding, situated behind the Priory walls is to be fitted out to become the Education Centre.
The employment of the Education Manager is a crucial first step and is central to the development of planned high quality educational acivities and experiences for the childen that will link to the classroom and beyond.
Position Type: Teacher/Leadership
Pay Range: £27,600 to £36,961
Start Date: 7th April 2021
Contract Type: Part Time
Contract Term: 3 years

Information about the School
St Osyth Priory is an exceptional collection of heritage assets comprising 16 separate Grade I, II* and II listed buildings set within a Grade II registered historic park and garden.
The vision for this mesmerising collection of buildings and landscape, is to fully revitalise and restore the historic assets to their former glory.
The St Osyth Priory Education Centre has been established to welcome school groups to this important and historic site.
