The Christus Catholic Trust are seeking to appoint:
PREMISES MANAGER
Permanent contract
Salary - Band 6 (CCT Thurrock Academies Pay Scale)
Point Range: 25 (£27,389)
Hours (split shift): 06am - 10am & 2.30 - 6pm), 52 weeks per year
Location: St Mary's Catholic Primary, Tilbury
Start date: As soon as possible
This is a great opportunity for an individual who must be proactive, self-motivate, flexible in their approach and be responsible for the security of the school site and its maintenance.
The following is essential for the successful applicant:
· Must have a broad knowledge of the building trades and be able to solve general maintenance problems across those trades
· DIY skills must be of a high standard and must have had previous experience of supervisory duties including: man management, record keeping, stock replenishment, ordering
· A working knowledge of COSHH
The primary role requires the successful candidate to provide an onsite service which includes but it is not limited to:
· Ensure our school is clean, tidy and inviting for our pupils at all times.
· Lock-up and porterage as they will be meeting and greeting children and families on the gate each morning.
· Working closely with the School Finance Manager in organising annual maintenance and route & routine repairs.
· Liaising with contractors on a regular basis.
In addition, the successful candidate should also:
· Have excellent timekeeping, willingness to work and good communication skills
· Be organised and be able to prioritise the workload in a busy school environment
· Be reliable, safety conscious, resourceful, energetic and keen to work as part of a team.
Information about the Academy
St Mary's Catholic Primary is located at Tilbury and is part of a multi academy trust (The Christus Catholic Trust), which currently has 6 primary schools. Currently catering for around 210 pupils, plus nursery. St Mary's is a single form entry located in the heart of a diverse community. The latest Ofsted Inspection rates them as a 'good' school.
