HR Assistant

10 hours per week (Monday to Friday, term-time only)

Essex pay scale 3 (points 4 -5)

Actual salary range for post £4256 - £4334 depending upon experience

Newlands Spring Primary and Nursery School (part of Attain Academy Partnership) are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and friendly administration assistant to effectively undertake the daily administrative support relating to Human Resources.

The role will include but is not limited to:

  • Maintaining manual and computerised personnel records
  • Undertaking all administration related to recruitment
  • Producing and issuing contracts of employment
  • Maintaining the school's single central record
  • Preparing all forms for submission to payroll in relation to staff personal data and salary information
  • Acting as the first point of contact for queries on personnel and salary data
  • Assisting in the reconciliation of payroll
  • Recording and monitoring staff absence
  • Recording and monitoring staff training
  • Being the first point of contact for issues relating to staff well-being and responsible for referrals to the Occupational Health Services as required.
  • Liaising with Teachers' Pensions and the Essex Pension Fund

A full job description is supplied. Although based at Newlands Spring this role may require attendance at other venues within the county.

Previous school office experience would be an advantage.
