Job Title: Early Years Practitioner - Westwood Academy

Grade: Scale 3 Point 5

(£12,245.06 per annum pro rata)

Hours: 28 hours and 15 minutes per week (38 weeks - term time only)

Start Date: ASAP

We have a wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years practitioner to join our nursery team based at Westwood Academy on a permanent basis.

Working 28 hours and 15 minutes per week, 38 weeks per year; Monday to Thursday from 08:45 a.m. to 15:15 p.m. and Friday 08:45 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. with a 30 minute lunch break every day.

The successful candidate will:

· Be caring, patient and empathetic

· Have a good understanding of child development and early years pedagogy

· Be committed to developing effective relationships with children, parents and staff

· Have a positive approach to behaviour management

· Have experience of carrying out observations and completing assessments

· Have experience of working with children with SEN

In addition, the Early Years Practitioner will be expected to provide and support high quality learning in both the indoor and outdoor environment.
