Business Manager

Pay Scale: £35,240 - £41,443

We are seeking to appoint an efficient, highly organised and motivated individual to take on the position of a Business Manager incorporating Finance and HR Personnel. This is a full time management post working term time, Non Pupil Days and during school holidays.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the operational side of the school. The successful candidate will:

  • Be proactive in maintaining and developing the high standards of finance management within the school, including preparation and monitoring of the budget and preparing reports for the Governing Body
  • Be responsible for personnel administration, including safeguarding and payroll
  • Be responsible for premises management, including health and safety
  • Operate, maintain and develop accounting functions and administrative procedures
  • Line management of premises and administration staff
  • Attend governor meetings as required

We are looking for a candidate who will be part of the school community with experience in effective financial management, who is professional, confidential and is a highly effective communicator.

The successful candidate should have a proven ability to work under pressure and preferred qualifications would be Association of Accounting Technician (AAT) or similar or Certificate of School Business Management (CSBM or DSBM). Knowledge of SIMS Financial Management System is desirable.
