With additional classrooms due to open we are once again looking to recruit skilful, hardworking and caring people to join our friendly school family.

A willingness to work with all ages across our school is essential and experience of working with children or with special needs would be an advantage.

Lexden Springs is an inspiring school where no two days are ever the same (but a smile is always guaranteed!) which caters for pupils aged 3 - 19 who have a variety of severe learning difficulties, including some with autism and/or challenging behaviour and some with serious medical conditions.

We pride ourselves in having high quality and enthusiastic staff that encourage our pupils to achieve their fullest potential academically, socially, emotionally, physically, morally, spiritually and aesthetically, enabling each pupil to grow in confidence, and able to participate in the wider community. We support our staff in doing this by offering a high level of training and development throughout their time at Lexden Springs and encouraging them too to also reach their fullest potential.

We actively encourage personal development and this position is ideal for candidates who may wish to consider a teacher training qualification in the future (subject to the required qualifications).

Due to current restrictions visits to the school are not currently possible. We strongly encourage potential candidates to explore our website for further details relating to our school. We will be conducting interviews over the next few weeks via Microsoft Teams.

Lexden Springs School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As part of the Safer Recruitment process the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

We're an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age or disability status.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
