Tendring Primary School is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, solution focussed and organised Administration Assistant to join our busy school office. This position is for 5 days a week. We are a small friendly school situated in the middle of Tendring village and surrounded by an attractive environment. The school draws a range of pupils from across the Tendring area.
The successful candidate will provide support to the school's administrative procedures, including but not exclusively:
- covering reception and being the first point of call for parents and visitors
- undertaking duties relating to pupil attendance
- assisting with the collection of dinner monies via our online payment system and collating daily dinner numbers
- assisting with the production and distribution of information for parents/carers
- raising and checking orders
- administrative support for all areas of the school
- provide relief cover for lunchtime duty when needed (this will be paid at scale 2)
Ideally you will have some experience of working in a busy officeor school office setting, and be confident using Microsoft Office applications. Experience with SIMS would be an advantage.

Information about the School
Tendring Primary is small, popular school located close to the Suffolk/Essex Border, attracting children from a wide area across the Tendring Peninsular. We currently have 190 children on roll. The School is set in approximately a three acre site with original buildings dating back to 1896. The school has extended over the years to include new buildings and extensive outdoor learning facilities.
