An exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant looking for promotion, to join our succesful village Primary School Team.

Hours: 15 hours per week - term time (39 weeks per year) - Working pattern to be agreed at interview

Salary: LGPS Scale 8 pt 25 (£29,577 pro rata and dependent upon experience)

We are looking to recruit a highly skilled Busar to join our enthusiatic and motivated team at Dr Walkers C of E Primary School. You will be expected to support the Headteacher and Governors in maintaining and developing the high standards of financial management within the school. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the operational side of the school.

The successful applicant will have:

An understanding and knowledge of human resources, safeguarding and payroll
Experience of financial management and budgetary controls ideally in schools with the relevant qualifications
Experience of IT and knowledge of accounting and management information systems, e.g. SIMS, FMS, Microsoft Office.
A high degree of motivation to be fully committed to working in a school environment.
An understanding and knowledge of GDPR
A knowledge base of Health and Safety in the workplace.
The ability to work under pressure to deadlines, on your own initiative, as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Dr Walker’s Church of England Primary School is a small village Voluntary Controlled community school, in the heart of Fyfield, Ongar. We might be small, but have a lot to offer!

We are a creative school, where pupils are supported to become the best they can be. Pupils access the curriculum through additional fun activities such as dressing up days, hatching ducks, circus workshops, visiting zoo, residentials, initiatives, etc. and where appropriate participation in sporting events with local schools. Our school website evidences all our fun activities in the weekly newsletters (do have a look at how we are having fun, whilst learning!).
