Monday to Friday Scale 5 - 30 hours, 25 minutes per week, 8.40am to 3.15pm, 38 weeks per year (term time only) Actual salary £13,990
We are looking to appoint a highly experienced pastoral support worker to take on the position of pupil and family support worker at our highly inclusive and busy school. This is a key support role that improves outcomes for vulnerable learners and their families. The successful applicant will work closely with the inclusion team to enhance provision for learners across all key stages, helping to implement and prepare plans for these learners and supporting staff with behaviour management, including throughout the lunchtime experience to support vulnerable learners on the playground or to provide pastoral drop in sessions.
The family focused part of the role will be around the setting up and running of a parent forum, as well as providing reactive support for families in need. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator and have the ability to self-direct and prioritise their workload.
Candidates will have a compassionate and professional attitude towards children, an excellent telephone manner, be able to work as part of a team and understand the importance of confidentiality. A First Aid qualification would be helpful but training will be provided.
