Safeguarding Officer
Start date: Immediate
Part Time 22 hours per week 8.00 am - 4.30 pm
8.00 am - 4.00 pm Friday
The successful applicant will be required to work 3 days a week including every Thursday and Friday plus one additional day to be discussed at interview
Term Time only
Fixed Term until July 2021.
Starting salary: LGS Level 6 Point 13 £11,611 per annum pro rata salary.
Within the range: LGS Level 6 point 13 - 20.
Chase High School are seeking to appoint a part time Safeguarding Officer to work within our safeguarding team. The preferred candidate must have relevant proven experience of working within a school or in a safeguarding environment and will have excellent IT and communication skills..
The Individual:
Essential
A proven high level of organisational skills and efficient working practices with an emphasis on confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail.
The ability to read and write detailed reports.
The ability to organise time effectively and follow instructions
The ability to work well under pressure
Ability to establish rapport and respectful and trusting relationships with
children and adults.
To be punctual and reliable
A capacity for hard work
Excellent IT, literacy and numeracy skills
Demonstrate a clear commitment to develop and learn in the role and undertake any necessary training
Desirable
Knowledge of EHFSA procedures
Understand and support child protection procedures
Understand procedures and legislation relating to confidentiality
Experience of Sims.net or databases
Have access to own transport.

Chase High School was built more than 100 years ago and recently secured academy status under the Discovery Educational Trust. The secondary school continues to be involved in the community, forging local and international partnerships
