Howbridge C of E Junior School are looking to appoint a School Cook/Catering Manager to join our catering team. We are a 3-form entry Church of England junior school based in Witham, Essex. Our busy catering team prepares and serves 350 - 400 meals a day to both our school and the neighbouring Infant School.
This is a unique opportunity for the right person to join our friendly and hard-working school. Candidates should be sympathetic to the Christian ethos of our school.
The ideal candidate will:
Be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation / Professional Cookery or equivalent.
Be well organised
Have a passion for fresh food and providing heathy nutritional food to children.
Have a strong knowledge of the government food requirements
Have a strong understanding of food ordering and budgeting.
Have experience of working in an education setting.
Have a proven track record of successfully managing a catering team.
Be able to communicate with children, parents and staff effectively.
Be fun, creative and inspiring.
Have a passion to ensure the very best for our children.
