Our warm and welcoming village school is seeking to recruit a Teaching and Learning Support Assistant to work with our Reception Class both in the classroom and at lunchtime.
The role will be to assist with transition, help develop children's speech and language skills, support with the development of independence and ensure the health, safety and well-being of all children in the class
Fixedterm, term time only October 2020 - March 2021
30 hours Monday - Friday (8.45 a.m. - 3.15 p.m.)
LGS Scale 3 Point 4-5 (Hourly Rate £9.81 - £10.01)
The successful applicants will demonstrate:
- The ability to build superb relationships with children
- The skills to provide excellent learning opportunities for children by supporting a
- teacher in the planning delivery and evaluation of a variety of learning activities
- The ability to make a contribution to organising effective classrooms and maintaining appropriate records
- A proactive approach to enabling children to develop positive social interaction skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm, flexibility and creativity
- Acute observation skills
- The ability to work co-operatively with other staff, following instructions whilst also being able to use their own initiative
- A desire to promote high expectations of attainment and progress for all pupils
- A great sense of humour

Previous experience in this area of work is desirable
