We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and inspiring SENDCo to be part of the Senior Leadership Team while our current SENDCo is on maternity leave. The role will include responsibility for leading and managing SEND and inclusion in the school (including supporting planning and implementation of interventions), analysing data and liaising effectively with outside agencies. If you have a passion for motivating and nurturing young learners with SEND whilst supporting them to achieve their full potential, we would love to hear from you.
The successful candidate will need to be a strategic leader who:
Has substantial and sustained proven success in working inclusively with pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, ideally in a primary setting
Leads by example and has a track record of raising standards and levels of achievement for pupils with SEND
Has a thorough knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
Demonstrates excellent time management, organisational and interpersonal skills
Is passionate about delivering high quality inclusive teaching and learning
Is an excellent, engaging communicator who will develop strong relationships with children, colleagues, parents and the wider community

Essential qualifications requirements
Undergraduate Degree
Qualified Teacher Status
National Award for SENCo (Desirable)
Essential skills and experience
Evidence of continuing and recent professional development relevant to the post
Proven effective SENDCo experience to support inclusive teaching and learning
Outstanding SEND practitioner who is able to raise the standards of pupils with SEND
Highly successful in leading and managing whole school improvements, with regard to pupils with SEND, by collaborating with and motivating colleagues
Able to use and disseminate effective primary teaching and learning strategies to raise pupil attainment and achievement
