Job title: After-School Club Assistant
Start Date: ASAP Hours: 3.20pm-5pm Monday to Friday, Term-Time only (38 weeks)
Salary: Scale 3 Point 4
We are seeking to appoint an After School Assistant to work in our Afterschool Club for 5 days a week.
The successful candidate will work as part of a small team, maintaining the safety, welfare and good conduct of the children during the club. Take care of all the children in the club, promoting positive play experiences, ensuring the children have a sociable and enjoyable time whilst recognising their individual needs.
You will need to be confident in liaising with school staff and parents to ensure a high level of pastoral care is given. Supervising and serving snack. Experience of working with primary / early years children is preferable.
Person Specification
NVQ Level 2/3 in childcare or equivalent qualification / Experience
First Aid would be advantageous, but full training will be given.
Display a caring attitude towards pupils to ensure their wellbeing
Be flexible and willing to adapt at short notice
Be a good team player, showing respect towards each other and working cooperatively with all staff
Enthusiastic, reliable, energetic and hard-working
