Required as soon as possible LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS to support children with Educational Health Care Plans and as general classroom support.

We are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to join our caring, friendly and hard-working team, who will be enthusiastic and able to use their initiative.

The successful candidates will have past or recent experience of supporting children in a school setting, as well as those with additional SEN needs.

  • Applicants must have a suitable Maths and English qualification
  • Short listed candidates will be required to undertake a Basic English and Maths Skills Test prior to short listing for interview
  • This is a Thurrock Band 2 Post (Points 6 to 10) as applicable depending on qualifications and experience
  • Exact working times will be confirmed prior to appointment
  • The type of contract i.e. fixed term, permanent or named SEN child will be confirmed following a successful interview

  • When submitting your application, please include some information about yourself, relevant qualifications, along with details of any recent experience you have working with children
  • Applicants should confirm they are available to attend the Basic Skills Test (see date below) when submitting an application
  • Please provide copies of all relevant qualification certificates with your application prior to the deadline of Friday 2nd October at 12 Noon
  • Applicants shortlisted in the first round must be available to undertake a Basic English and Maths Skills Test (no alternative date is available) on Tuesday 6th October at 3.30 p.m.
  • Following successful completion of the skills test, candidates shortlisted to interview will be invited to attend on Friday 9th October 2020
  • Interviews will be confirmed to short listed candidates via telephone or email a.s.a.p.
  • Applicants should ensure they are available on both dates listed above.
