We require a Teaching Assistant for a pupil with an Educational Health Care Plan

28hrs 45 minutes per week Monday to Friday, Term time only. Includes playtime and MDA duties for the right candidate.

We at BCA are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our SEN department. You will support a named child, with an EHC Plan on a one to one basis. The contract is conditional to the child staying at Belmont Castle Academy and\or the EHCP continuing. Should either of these conditions change then the post may cease. Your role will include;

o supporting a named child with the curriculum and day to day school life

o delivering activities and interventions as required under direction of the class teacher and SENCo

o communicating effectively with pupils, parents and staff

o supervising breaktime activities

o development of the physical and mental well-being of pupils as directed by a teacher

o may be utilised as a class Teaching Assistant when required

o you will be well supported by the Class Teacher, Headteacher and SENCO

You must be an enthusiastic, driven, passionate individual, have high standards and love working with children. Do the following requirements apply to you?

o experience working with primary age pupils, preferably on a 1:1 basis

o excellent written and oral communication skills

o possess, at least, GCSE's in English and Maths (Grade C or above) - or NVQ level 2 Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent

o have a strong and caring personality and is calm, patient and firm

o will work autonomously and as part of a team
