Part-time Cleaner required 10 Hours, 5 days per week 3.30 - 5.30pm
Band 1 49.9 weeks per year £9.00 per hour (payrise pending)
We are looking to recruit a flexible, reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our team as a Cleaner. The position is to maintain a high standard of cleanliness within classrooms, corridors, offices and toilets. This will require duties such as vacuuming, dusting and cleaning of washroom areas, tables, chairs etc. A good understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment would be desirable. Training can be given.
The post is for 2 hours per day after school hours. If you think you would make an excellent cleaner and have the relevant skills, we would encourage you to apply for this post.

Information about the School
Mersea Island School currently has 380 pupils aged 2-11, this includes a nursery with capacity for up to 48 children. It is the only school on the island, serving a closely knit community. The school is located on Mersea Island, off the coast of Essex and close to Colchester. The area surrounding the school in the town of West Mersea is semi-rural. The island is famous for its oyster cultivation and traditional fishing boats, and has a history of sailing. Pupils derive from a very mixed social background, and many of the pupils have parents and grandparents who attended the school.
