Lay Chaplain
We are looking to appoint a practising Catholic, who as lay chaplain will further develop and lead the spiritual work of the college.
The successful candidate must be a practising Roman Catholic committed to supporting the inclusive Catholic nature of the college and spiritual journey of the members of our community.
The main purpose of the role will be to provide spiritual and pastoral support to the students and staff of the college and members of the wider college community, bearing witness to the mission statement and maintaining and enhancing the distinctive Catholic nature of the college.
In addition our Chaplain plays a role in supporting our Year 6 into 7 admission process and transition arrangements, visiting partner primary schools and supporting students.
The hours of work for the role will be 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday and this will be required term time, plus five staff training days, plus 111 hours (3 weeks) to be used flexibly during the year to support evening events and other key duties.
The pay band for the role is Scale 7 (scp 19 to 24)The actual salary for the role is £23,408.90 to £26,340.41(under 5 years' service) or £23,702.12 to £26,670.35(over 5 years' service).
