JOB VACANCY FOR A LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT + MIDDAY ASSISTANT HOURS
at Great Wakering Primary Academy
Part time - 17.5 hours per week term time only
Monday to Friday 08:30 to 12:00 LSA
Scales 2-3, Pay Range Points 3 to 5
Part Time- 7.5 hours per week term time only
Monday to Friday 12:00 - 1:30 pm MDA
Scale 1 - 2, Pay Range Points 1 -3
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our team supporting children with a variety of additional needs across all year groups in our Primary Academy.
Successful candidates will have a good understanding and experience of balancing the complex individual social and emotional needs of a children whilst maintaining a sense of fairness in class. A good understanding of child development and key skills in encouraging yet challenging children to achieve academically and socially within this setting is required. The ability to work collaboratively with the class team and other professionals in a busy, vibrant school team is also essential. Good literacy and numeracy skills as well as effective ICT skills are necessary.
Prior School and SEND experience are desirable as the role may entail supporting a number of different children across the primary age range; the successful applicant will therefore need to be very adaptable.
