An exciting opportunity has arisen at Hatfield Peverel Infant School to join our fantastic midday team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person to help ensure that our children have a safe and happy lunchtime.
The hours will be Monday to Friday from 12.00pm to 1.10pm, term time only. (Please note, there may be a slight variation to the hours due to our school precautions against COVID-19).
There are various duties shared between our midday team that include:
Assisting children with cutting or opening their food where possible
Supervising children on the playground
Administering minor First aid (training will be provided)
Interacting with the children and encouraging participation in games
Clearing the tables and chairs at the end of lunchtime
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
A passion for working with children
The ability to engage the children through play
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
Excellent organisation skills and sound record keeping

Hatfield Peverel Infant school is a 2-form entry school based in the heart of Hatfield Peverel with easy access to the A12 and a train station within walking distance. A community school, proud of its standing and reputation.
During this time of uncertainty, we are limiting visits to the school and we therefore are unable to offer any tours of the school. However, please call the school office and speak to Mrs Jennings who will happily talk to you about the post in more detail and will be able to answer any questions that you may have.

Hatfield Peverel Infant and Nursery School is a two form entry established school in the village of Hatfield Peverel and has easy access to the A12 and a train station within walking distance. We have a wonderful team of staff, Governors and supportive families who all help the children to be safe and happy. It is our aim to make sure that all members of our school community are supported and feel included and valued.
