Midday Assistant
(Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2021)
based at; East Tilbury Primary School, Princess Margaret Road, East Tilbury, RM18 8SB
7.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 12.00noon - 1.30pm , Term Time only
Band A Point 1 - 6 (£3,096.36 - £3,418.18 actual salary)
We are looking to recruit Midday Assistant's to join our busy team. MDA's create a very positive, happy and secure environment in our playgrounds, dining hall and the school building at lunchtime. Your primary role will be to maintain the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the lunchtime break.
The successful applicant will:-
- Interact with the children to encourage good social skills and will lead outdoor activities to encourage participation.
- Encourage healthy eating, preparing the tables, supervise playing with the children outside, supervising the clearing up of games and toys, administering first aid and using the school's behaviour plan
- Ensure the safety and care of pupils who are injured or unwell & provide comfort if distressed
- Assist children with Personal Care where necessary

Information about the School
East Tilbury Primary School & Nursery converted to Academy Status in April 2012 as a partner in St Cleres Co-operative Academy Trust. We are a three/four form entry school in a semi-rural location, only a 5 minute walk from East Tilbury Station which is on the C2C Fenchurch - Shoeburyness Line. .
