Elmstead Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and hardworking individual to join our Learning Support Assistant team for the next academic year. The position is for 3 hour 30 minutes per day and a total of 17.5 hours per week. The appointed LSA will work for five mornings a week in Key Stage 2. Good literacy and numeracy skills are required,English and Maths GCSE at Grade C or above, and experience of working with primary aged children would be an advantage.
The ideal candidate will:
- be able to support the children in the class by following the direction of the class teacher
- liaise with the class teacher and SENCO and help keep detailed records of the children's achievements
- use their own initiative to support children in making the best possible progress
- be highly positive and supportive
- be able to remain calm and flexible, be caring, have patience, and have a sense of humour
