We are seeking to appoint a new caretaker at our school.
The position is 30 hours per week (6 hours per day M-F) split over morning and afternoon. The hours of work will be 7am-9.15am and 2.45pm-6.30pm each day.
We require someone who will contribute to the smooth running of the school by organising and undertaking the locking and unlocking, taking delivery of stores, materials and goods and ensuring they are stored carefully, general redecoration and gardening tasks as appropriate. The job desciption will be further discussed at interview.
The successful candidate will have caretaking, trade or general maintenance skills and at least a basic understanding of health and safety however all health and safety training will be provided. They will also be flexible in their approach, proactive. self-motivated, energetic and be keen to work as part of our school community. The successful candidate willpassionate about ensuringthat we have the best possible environment for our children and staff and take pride in our school site.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS record check.
