PART-TIME LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT - 5 MORNINGS A WEEK (including lunchtime supervision): YEAR 6: TERM TIME PLUS INSET DAYS: £9.18 per hour

Required September 2020

We are looking for an experienced, dedicated and caring LSA to support a Year 6 class to assist in differentiated teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks.

· Running various interventions with small groups of pupils who need extra support to fill attainment gaps.

· Promoting, supporting and facilitating inclusion by encouraging the participation of all pupils in learning and extra-curricular activities.

· Using effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with our school's positive behaviour policy and procedures.

· Communicating effectively and sensitively with pupils to adapt planning to their needs and support their learning.

The successful candidate will have high level communication skills; be able to build strong relationships with colleagues and children and experience of working independently to support children's learning. Experience of working with pupils who have additional needs is desirable but not essential and candidate must have achieved a minimum grade C qualification in GCSE Mathematics and English.

Based in Great Dunmow, Essex, Dunmow St Mary's Primary School is a 2FE Foundation primary school with extensive grounds, including our own woodland area and outdoor classroom.
