Pastoral Support Assistant

Salary and range: Thurrock Band B, £16,279.65 - £17,968.17 (actual salary)

Working hours: 35 hours per week, 08:00am - 16:00pm Monday - Friday

One hour unpaid break

43.8 weeks per year, term time only.

(Two week October half term)

Start date: September 2020

We have an exciting opportunity for apastoral support assistantto join our new school. Thames Park Secondary School is a brand new free school that will be opening in Grays, Essex in September 2020, initially year 7 intake only increasing to 5 year groups within 5 years. Thames Park Secondary School will be a member of Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust. All schools in the Trust work in equal partnership and are members of the Schools' Co-operative Society.

We are seeking an outstanding individual to provide efficient and proactive support to the Pastoral team and the School.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:·

  • To be on call when needed to support children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • Playing a pivotal role in the effectiveness and success of the school
  • Contributing to the school's long term strategy for pastoral support
  • We're looking for you if you have:
  • The ability to establish respectful and trusting relationships with students, their families/carers and other adults
  • A good standard of overall education
  • Good knowledge and experience of ICT, with an ability to use school ICT equipment for logging, monitoring and communication
