Job Title: SEN 121 Teaching Assistant / Midday Assistant

Contract: Fixed Term ends 31st August 2021

Hours per week: 22.5 hours per week (38 weeks - Term time only)

Scale: 4

Point: 6-7 (£10,707.53-£10921.45)

Start Date: 1st September 2020

Bardfield Academy are seeking a highly motivated SEN Teaching Assistant/Midday Assistant to provide support to a child with EHC Plans. The successful candidate will be required to work 22.5 hours per week, need to be able to follow a 'One Plan' under the guidance of the Class Teacher and SENCO and preferably to have experience of working with children with disabilities or learning difficulties. Be part of a team around a child with specific high needs with challenging behaviour who needs very specific support with making more pro-social interactions with peers so that they are able to achieve more successful interpersonal interactions in and outside school

● Have excellent communication skills.

● Have good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE grade C or Level 2 and above).

● Have the ability to deal with challenging behaviour.

● Are seeking a rewarding role.

● Have creative and practical skills for activities and displays.

● Understanding of Trauma Perceptive Practice and how adverse experiences can impact on child development.
