Applications are invited from suitably qualified and skilled candidates for the above post - which offers an excellent opportunity to work in a management role within a strong Modern Foreign Languages Department in this highly successful Sixth Form College. The College holds Good Ofsted status and also Beacon status - one of the first four sixth form colleges in the country to be awarded the latter. The department is one of the largest MFL Sixth Form providers in the country with a wide spread of course offering.
You will be required to manage the Spanish curriculum subject area and teach A level and GCSE Spanish with a working arrangement on a part time basis of approximately 0.7 fte. Alternatively, for a full-time role you will be required to manage the Spanish curriculum subject area, teach Spanish A level and GCSE, and, also teach another cross college or MFL subject (ideally to at least first year A level standard).
The successful applicant should have successful experience of teaching A level Spanish, a good Honours Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant MFL subject(s) and a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
