The Director of Middle School is responsible for the leadership of the Middle School, including the application of the School's policies and development priorities to secure high-level outcomes for all pupils within the Middle School. The successful candidate will lead a team which includes 12 Form Tutors, Years 10 and Year 11 Progress Leaders and the Middle School Pastoral Tutor. He/she should have significant leadership experience and a track record of impressive organisational and interpersonal skills. He/she should possess the ability to motivate, challenge and inspire staff and pupils, combining personal integrity with high expectations of self and others.
Applicants must hold a genuine belief in maximising the potential of all pupils and a commitment to promoting high expectations and achievements within the School. In addition, he/she should possess a sound grasp of current educational issues and demonstrate a commitment to developing and maintaining the ethos of a Selective School. Westcliff High School for Boys is a Selective Academy Grammar School which has been designated Outstanding by OFSTED and is listed in the top 50 State Schools in the country. Our School currently has 900 boys at 11-16 and 390 students in its mixed Sixth Form.
