For September 2020 or an early start if available we are looking to appoint a committed and innovative teacher of Computing. This post would suit both experienced colleagues and newly qualified entrants to the profession.
Shoeburyness High School is a large, vibrant and diverse secondary school that has an excellent reputation as a warm and supportive environment in which to work. We are a very popular school with families in the local area and beyond and consequently we are heavily oversubscribed.
Computing is taught at Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) with a dedicated 1½ hour lesson once a fortnight, Key Stage 4 as an option subject and Sixth Form. We currently teach the BTEC Level 1 / 2 Tech Award in Digital Information Technology in Years 10 and 11 and the BTEC Level 3 in Information Technology in Years 12 and 13. We are also a Cisco Academy offering CCNA to students in the Sixth Form.

Shoeburyness High School is a very successful, large and oversubscribed 11-18 Community Academy and a member of the Southend East Community Academy Trust (SECAT).
