Home School Liaison Worker

Salary: 2020 Scale 5 (2019 Band 3) Whole/Mid-Point dependent on experience

Hours: 29.5

Days: Monday to Friday

Weeks Per Year: 39 weeks

Start date: Monday 20th April 2020

We are a thriving Christian school with a strong ethos to serve the community. The school has a strong supportive staff team who are committed to improving learning outcomes for pupils.

We have a wonderful opportunity for a Home School Liaison Worker to work collaboratively with school staff and parents/carers to encourage consistent school attendance for pupils' and help facilitate successful inclusion in school life.

You will need to:

· Have an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Learning Support Experience of working with children in a professional setting

· Be positive, have a smart appearance, excellent communication skills and motivated to encourage pupils to achieve to the best of their ability

· Have the ability to make a proactive contribution to the work of the team supporting children, their families and carers

Visits to the school are encouraged prior to an application being made, as this can provide potential candidates with a clearer understanding of what the job entails.
